Big I Pub & Lounge

The longest lasting on-site bar in Fairbanks history, the Big I has survived two fires, a flood, and over the years has served as a railroad hotel, a general store, an Elks headquarters during WWII and much more. Sidle up to the bar and hear stories about Fairbanks from true locals- although they may be as long as our summer days. Light snacks available, smoking allowed, free Wi-fi. Open year-round.

Mecca Bar

In the notorious days of the pipelineboom, it was said you could walk the length of 2nd Avenue from Cushman Street to Noble Street and never leave a bar. Established in 1946, this is that last remainder of the infamous two street bars. Join us for a drink and a bit of Fairbanks history. Open year-round
